    Accessible via the RN6, you can take a bush cab from Diego Suarez or Ambilobe. Its head office is in the village of Mahamasina on the RN6, 108 km south of ANTSIRANANA and 30 km north of the town of AMBILOBE.

  • Visitor facilities (camping areas, food and beverage outlets, visitor centers)

    •  A reception desk, located at the entrance to the Park, to welcome visitors on arrival and provide them with information on how to organize themselves, find accommodation, eat and prepare for their visits.
    • A camping site at Mahamasina: (Campement des princes) with 15 tent shelters for researchers and visitors, 05 picnic tables, including 03 with shelters, and a drilling site for water supply;
    • A campsite at Andrafiabe: 9 tented areas without tent shelters, with a natural well supplying 10,000 liters of water to the water tower. Both campsites are equipped with showers and toilets, as well as lunch and cooking facilities;
    • A building designed as an interpretation center. However, there was no cladding inside the building.

  • How and when to come to the Park

    • East ecotourism zone: Accessible all year round from the park reception office in Mahamasina.

     

    • WESTERN ecotourism zone: This part of the park is accessible from the village of Andrafiabe from JULY to November. Visiting formalities are always carried out at the park reception office in Mahamasina before any visit.

     

  • Equipments Advice

    To enjoy the park to the full, it's best to bring the following equipment:

    • Mosquito repellent
    • Bottled mineral water
    • Binoculars and telephoto lenses for bird watching
    • Hiking boots
    • Headlamp for cave visits
    • Clothing suitable for walking and sunstroke

  • Rules of conduct

    • Animals may not be touched
    • Always carry a ticket with you on every visit
    • All visitors must be guided
